Here I am at Musée Rodin in Paris last November collecting inspiration for upcoming works. Transitioning to art full time has been incredibly difficult for many reasons. I question what I create every single day and then our consumerist culture asks me to put a price tag on that work. How do I put a price on something that is expressed through my own two hands?

But more concrete than the intricacies of business-owning, I know a deep rooted joy exists. For the past three months, I have been creating without a clear agenda, but instead with the trust to walk into my studio and ask myself who I want to be. I am giving myself permission to exist in that space just a little bit longer, trusting that my work will tell me when it is ready.

Thank you for your support in 2019, as I launched my studio and worked towards crafting pieces filled with color and joy. I think all of those bright and bold flowers truly came at a time when I desperately needed some brightness and boldness in my own life. Whether your support came from collecting one of my original artworks or from sending over words of encouragement and well wishes, it did not go unnoticed.

My favorite thing in the world is creating with my hands. Everyday, I know I get to do that because of the love and support from my family and friends. My sincerest and deepest gratitude to anyone who has followed this journey or is just joining in now.

Sharing new works soon!
