Here to share just a few photos from a recent trip I took to New York City with some dear friends. I did not get as much time shooting as I would have liked because we stayed very busy, but I love how these turned out. Photography is still my absolute favorite hobby. When I arrived, I took Friday morning to myself, gathering inspiration from the Guggenheim to take back to my own studio practice. It felt really great to get out of my routine and experience all of the artists that have come before me. Seeing such a wide variety of work, I was reminded that there is a place for all of us creating. Do not allow yourself to stop making your art.
As a long time lover of New York, the city felt as charming as ever. My friends and I had the absolute perfect Saturday night: pre-dinner drinks at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels, dinner at Prune, and a late night improv show at Upright Citizens Brigade. This is a foolproof NYC night that I plan on repeating in the very near future. Take it or leave it, folks.
All of these photos were taken with my Minolta film camera.
